Rachel Saathoff (Captain)

My name is Rachel and I am the owner and a coach for WeEndure Youth Cycling I started this program because I have a passion for leadership, teamwork, cycling and kids. I frequently have to remind myself that I am working because the BTNL programs are so much fun. When I am not working, I am spending time with family, friends, riding my bike or swimming. This year we are hoping to train our students for their first triathlon. If you love biking, come join us for a training ride. We have a lot of fun!

Brian Laakso (Sherpa)

Cycling and Swimming Coach

Hi, my name is Brian Laakso. I’m a Global Project Manager at Columbia Sportswear. My favorite hobbies are staying active through cycling, swimming and running; in other words, I enjoy competing in Triathlons. I’m a believer that cycling makes you more awesome than the general population, so I take pleasure in sharing my passion for riding with others. It’s a great way to push your limits, stay healthy and be carbon neutral. So, become more awesome and pedal on!

Troy Rulmyr (Lumber Jack)

Cycling and Swimming Coach

Troy “Lumberjack” Rulmyr has been cycling and doing triathlons for the better part of the last 24 years. He has leveraged his local experience and bike maintenance knowledge to help teach the riders basic techniques to keep their bike riding smooth, and fit to each individual riders needs. His passion for keeping cycling fun keeps the joy in riding, and he prides himself in being part of the team!

Chris Spriggs (Flipper)

Swim Coach

I was lucky to be introduced to water and swimming at a very young age. This led to a career in competitive swimming, and ultimately my time in the military as a Rescue Swimmer. During high school, when I was not swimming, I was teaching swimming lessons. Ages 2-15 and we learned everything from an introduction to water and blowing bubbles, to advanced stroke techniques. Swimming has always been a big part of my life for the last 25 years, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience!
