Dear Ellie,
I am a new leader in my organization, and my voice feels small, making little impact on organizational change. What would you suggest I do to maximize my leadership impact?

Dear Learning Leader,
First of all, welcome to the pack! 🐾 As a new leader, it can feel like your voice isn’t being heard or making the impact you hoped for—but don't worry, even the smallest bark can echo in big ways over time.
Just like me, the Chief Morale Officer (and proud wiener dog of this office), you don’t need to be the loudest to make a difference. Leadership is about resilience, consistency, and staying true to your values. Think of it like navigating a new agility course: It’s not always about how fast you go but about staying focused, loyal to your mission, and showing up with determination day after day.
Here’s some wiener dog wisdom to help you maximize your impact:
Build trust: Like a loyal dog, earn the trust of your team and peers by being consistent and transparent. People are more likely to listen to you when they trust you.
Stay the course: Change takes time. Keep showing up, doing the work, and making small, strategic moves. Even when it seems like nothing is happening, persistence pays off.
Boost morale: Sometimes, a wagging tail (or a positive attitude) is all it takes to shift the energy in the room. Keep the spirit high, and others will follow.
Remember, even though you may feel small now, with patience and persistence, you’ll become mighty in your impact—just like me! So, stay resilient, keep jumping through those hoops, and trust that your leadership journey will lead to big changes.
BARK THE NORM! 🐾🎉
Yours in pawsitivity,
Ellie
